Marcus Simmonds is a Master’s student in Computer Engineering at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where he also earned his B.S. in Computer Science in May 2024.
Over the years, Marcus has gained hands-on experience through internships at companies like Qualcomm, Leidos, and IBM, where he most recently worked as a backend software engineering intern. He’s particularly interested in multi-agent robotic systems and embedded systems and enjoys exploring how these fields can solve real-world problems.
When he’s not working or studying, you can usually find Marcus on the soccer field or tennis court, staying active and having fun.
