DRACO Design of Resilient Architectures for Computing

Katelin Shaffer is pursuing a Master’s in Computer Engineering at the University of Central Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking. She began her career as a Junior Network Administrator and has since held a variety of roles in information technology, including Systems Administrator, MSP Help Desk Technician, Instructor, and Freelance Consultant.

Throughout her career, she has led and supported cybersecurity assessments for organizations across a wide range of industries, including finance, healthcare, government, retail, energy, and manufacturing. Her experience includes vulnerability assessments, external, internal and wireless penetration testing, IoT device security, physical security, and social engineering engagements.

Katelin is passionate about offensive security and helping organizations strengthen their security posture through practical, real-world testing. Her interests include embedded systems, wireless technologies, and adversary emulation.
